The perfections and providence of GodC
-
High in the heav'ns eternal GodC
Thy goodness in full glory shinesD
Thy truth shall break through every cloudE
That veils and darkens thy designsD
-
For ever firm thy justice standsF
As mountains their foundations keepG
Wise are the wonders of thy handsF
Thy judgments are a mighty deepG
-
Thy providence is kind and largeH
Both man and beast thy bounty shareI
The whole creation is thy chargeH
But saints are thy peculiar careI
-
My God how excellent thy graceJ
Whence all our hope and comfort springsK
The sons of Adam in distressL
Fly to the shadow of thy wingsK
-
From the provisions of thy houseM
We shall be fed with sweet repastE
There mercy like a river flowsN
And brings salvation to our tasteE
-
Life like a fountain rich and freeA
Springs from the presence of the LordE
And in thy light our souls shall seeA
The glories promised in thy wordE
