Psalm 34 Part 1 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCDE FGFG HIHI JKJK LMNO PQPQ

God's care of the saints or Deliverance by prayerA
-
Lord I will bless thee all my daysB
Thy praise shall dwell upon my tongueC
My soul shall glory in thy graceD
While saints rejoice to hear the songE
-
Come magnify the Lord with meF
Come let us all exalt his nameG
I sought th' eternal God and heF
Has not exposed my hope to shameG
-
I told him all my secret griefH
My secret groaning reached his earsI
He gave my inward pains reliefH
And calmed the tumult of my fearsI
-
To him the poor lift up their eyesJ
Their faces feel the heav'nly shineK
A beam of mercy from the skiesJ
Fills them with light and joy divineK
-
His holy angels pitch their tentsL
Around the men that serve the LordM
O fear and love him all his saintsN
Taste of his grace and trust his wordO
-
The wild young lions pinched with painP
And hunger roar through all the woodQ
But none shall seek the Lord in vainP
Nor want supplies of real goodQ
