Rhyme Scheme: ABA CDED FGHI JKLK EMNM OPAP

vA
C MB
The church is our delight and safetyA
-
The Lord of glory is my lightC
And my salvation tooD
God is my strength nor will I fearE
What all my foes can doD
-
One privilege my heart desiresF
O grant me an abodeG
Among the churches of thy saintsH
The temples of my GodI
-
There shall I offer my requestsJ
And see thy beauty stillK
Shall hear thy messages of loveL
And there inquire thy willK
-
When troubles rise and storms appearE
There may his children hideM
God has a strong pavilion whereN
He makes my soul abideM
-
Now shall my head be lifted highO
Above my foes aroundP
And songs of joy and victoryA
Within thy temple soundP
