Psalm 26 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCBC DEDE FGHI JKLK MNMO

Self examination or Evidences of graceA
-
Judge me O Lord and prove my waysB
And try my reins and try my heartC
My faith upon thy promise staysB
Nor from thy law my feet departC
-
I hate to walk I hate to sitD
With men of vanity and liesE
The scoffer and the hypocriteD
Are the abhorrence of mine eyesE
-
Amongst thy saints will I appearF
With frauds well washed in innocenceG
But when I stand before thy barH
The blood of Christ is my defenceI
-
I love thy habitation LordJ
The temple where thine honors dwellK
There shall I hear thine holy wordL
And there thy works of wonder tellK
-
Let not my soul be joined at lastM
With men of treachery and bloodN
Since I my days on earth have passedM
Among the saints and near my GodO
