Psalm 19 Part 2 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CDCD AEAE FGHG IIII A JDJD KAKA IAIA LMNO

God's word most excellent or Sincerity and watchfulnessA
For a Lord's day morningB
-
Behold the morning sunC
Begins his glorious wayD
His beams through all the nations runC
And life and light conveyD
-
But where the gospel comesA
It spreads diviner lightE
It calls dead sinners from their tombsA
And gives the blind their sightE
-
How perfect is thy wordF
And all thy judgments justG
For ever sure thy promise LordH
And men securely trustG
-
My gracious God how plainI
Are thy directions giv'nI
O may I never read in vainI
But find the path to heav'nI
-
PAUSEA
-
I hear thy word with loveJ
And I would fain obeyD
Send thy good Spirit from aboveJ
To guide me lest I strayD
-
O who can ever findK
The errors of his waysA
Yet with a bold presumptuous mindK
I would not dare transgressA
-
Warn me of every sinI
Forgive my secret faultsA
And cleanse this guilty soul of mineI
Whose crimes exceed my thoughtsA
-
While with my heart and tongueL
I spread thy praise abroadM
Accept the worship and the songN
My Savior and my GodO
