Rhyme Scheme: ABC DEFC GHGH IJKJ LMLM NOPO

vA
L MB
Rejoicing in GodC
-
Just are thy ways and true thy wordD
Great Rock of my secure abodeE
Who is a God beside the LordF
Or where's a refuge like our GodC
-
'Tis he that girds me with his mightG
Gives me his holy sword to wieldH
And while with sin and hell I fightG
Spreads his salvation for my shieldH
-
He lives and blessed be my RockI
The God of my salvation livesJ
The dark designs of hell are brokeK
Sweet is the peace my Father givesJ
-
Before the scoffers of the ageL
I will exalt my Father's nameM
Nor tremble at their mighty rageL
But meet reproach and bear the shameM
-
To David and his royal seedN
Thy grace for ever shall extendO
Thy love to saints in Christ their HeadP
Knows not a limit nor an endO
