Psalm 14 Part 2 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCBC DEDE FGFG HIJK

The folly of persecutorsA
-
Are sinners now so senseless grownB
That they the saints devourC
And never worship at thy throneB
Nor fear thine awful powerC
-
Great God appear to their surpriseD
Reveal thy dreadful nameE
Let them no more thy wrath despiseD
Nor turn our hope to shameE
-
Dost thou not dwell among the justF
And yet our foes derideG
That we should make thy name our trustF
Great God confound their prideG
-
O that the joyful day were comeH
To finish our distressI
When God shall bring his children homeJ
Our songs shall never ceaseK
