At the settlement of a church or the ordination of a ministerC
-
Where shall we go to seek and findD
An habitation for our GodE
A dwelling for th' Eternal MindD
Among the sons of flesh and bloodF
-
The God of Jacob chose the hillG
Of Zion for his ancient restH
And Zion is his dwelling stillG
His church is with his presence blessedH
-
Here will I fix my gracious throneI
And reign for ever saith the LordJ
Here shall my power and love be knownI
And blessings shall attend my wordK
-
Here will I meet the hungry poorL
And fill their souls with living breadM
Sinners that wait before my doorN
With sweet provision shall be fedM
-
Girded with truth and clothed with graceO
My priests my ministers shall shineP
Not Aaron in his costly dressQ
Made an appearance so divineP
-
The saints unable to containR
Their inward joys shall shout and singS
The Son of David here shall reignR
And Zion triumph in her KingS
-
Jesus shall see a num'rous seedT
Born here t' uphold his glorious nameU
His crown shall flourish on his headM
While all his foes are clothed with shameU
