Psalm 130 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCAD EFGF HGIG JKLK MNMN AOAO PAPA QRSR

Pardoning graceA
-
Out of the deeps of long distressB
The borders of despairC
I sent my cries to seek thy graceA
My groans to move thine earD
-
Great God should thy severer eyeE
And thine impartial handF
Mark and revenge iniquityG
No mortal flesh could standF
-
But there are pardons with my GodH
For crimes of high degreeG
Thy Son has bought them with his bloodI
To draw us near to theeG
-
I wait for thy salvation LordJ
With strong desires I waitK
My soul invited by thy wordL
Stands watching at thy gateK
-
Just as the guards that keep the nightM
Long for the morning skiesN
Watch the first beams of breaking lightM
And meet them with their eyesN
-
So waits my soul to see thy graceA
And more intent than theyO
Meets the first openings of thy faceA
And finds a brighter dayO
-
Then in the Lord let Isr'el trustP
Let Isr'el seek his faceA
The Lord is good as well as justP
And plenteous is his graceA
-
There's full redemption at his throneQ
For sinners long enslavedR
The great Redeemer is his SonS
And Isr'el shall be savedR
