Rhyme Scheme: A BCDE FGFG HIHI EJEK LMLM

Family blessingsA
-
O happy man whose soul is filledB
With zeal and reverent aweC
His lips to God their honors yieldD
His life adorns the lawE
-
A careful providence shall standF
And ever guard thy headG
Shall on the labors of thy handF
Its kindly blessings shedG
-
Thy wife shall be a fruitful vineH
Thy children round thy boardI
Each like a plant of honor shineH
And learn to fear the LordI
-
The Lord shall thy best hopes fulfilE
For months and years to comeJ
The Lord who dwells on Zion's hillE
Shall send thee blessings homeK
-
This is the man whose happy eyesL
Shall see his house increaseM
Shall see the sinking church ariseL
Then leave the world in peaceM
