Deliverance from a tumultC
-
The Lord appears my helper nowD
Nor is my faith afraidE
What all the sons of earth can doF
Since heav'n affords its aidE
-
'Tis safer Lord to hope in theeA
And have my God my friendG
Than trust in men of high degreeA
And on their truth dependG
-
Like bees my foes beset me roundH
A large and angry swarmI
But I shall all their rage confoundH
By thine almighty armJ
-
'Tis through the Lord my heart is strongK
In him my lips rejoiceL
While his salvation is my songK
How cheerful is my voiceL
-
Like angry bees they girt me roundH
When God appears they flyM
So burning thorns with crackling soundH
Make a fierce blaze and dieM
-
Joy to the saints and peace belongsN
The Lord protects their daysO
Let Isr'el tune immortal songsN
To his almighty graceP
