Psalm 116 Part 1 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCBC DEFE GHGH IJIJ KLKM NONP

Recovery from sicknessA
-
I love the Lord he heard my criesB
And pitied every groanC
Long as I live when troubles riseB
I'll hasten to his throneC
-
I love the Lord he bowed his earD
And chased my griefs awayE
O let my heart no more despairF
While I have breath to prayE
-
My flesh declined my spirits fellG
And I drew near the deadH
While inward pangs and fears of hellG
Perplexed my wakeful headH
-
My God I cried thy servant saveI
Thou ever good and justJ
Thy power can rescue from the graveI
Thy power is all my trustJ
-
The Lord beheld me sore distressedK
He bid my pains removeL
Return my soul to God thy restK
For thou hast known his loveM
-
My God hath saved my soul from deathN
And dried my falling tearsO
Now to his praise I'll spend my breathN
And my remaining yearsP
