Rhyme Scheme: A BCBD EFEF GHGI JKJK

Christ exalted and multitudes converted or The success of the gospelA
-
Thus the eternal Father spakeB
To Christ the Son Ascend and sitC
At my right hand till I shall makeB
Thy foes submissive at thy feetD
-
From Zion shall thy word proceedE
Thy word the sceptre in thy handF
Shall make the hearts of rebels bleedE
And bow their wills to thy commandF
-
That day shall show thy power is greatG
When saints shall flock with willing mindsH
And sinners crowd thy temple gateG
Where holiness in beauty shinesI
-
O blessed power O glorious dayJ
What a large vict'ry shall ensueK
And converts who thy grace obeyJ
Exceed the drops of morning dewK
