Psalm 107 Part 2 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BBCD EEFG HHII EEJK LLMM GGNN

Correction for sin and release by prayerA
-
From age to age exalt his nameB
God and his grace are still the sameB
He fills the hungry soul with foodC
And feeds the poor with every goodD
-
But if their hearts rebel and riseE
Against the God that rules the skiesE
If they reject his heav'nly wordF
And slight the counsels of the LordG
-
He'll bring their spirits to the groundH
And no deliv'rer shall be foundH
Laden with grief they waste their breathI
In darkness and the shades of deathI
-
Then to the Lord they raise their criesE
He makes the dawning light ariseE
And scatters all that dismal shadeJ
That hung so heavy round their headK
-
He cuts the bars of brass in twoL
And lets the smiling pris'ners throughL
Takes off the load of guilt and griefM
And gives the lab'ring soul reliefM
-
O may the sons of men recordG
The wondrous goodness of the LordG
How great his works how kind his waysN
Let every tongue pronounce his praiseN
