Christ the wisdom of GodA
-
ProvB
-
Shall Wisdom cry aloudC
And not her speech be heardD
The voice of God's eternal WordD
Deserves it no regardE
-
I was his chief delightF
His everlasting SonG
Before the first of all his worksH
Creation was begunG
-
Before the flying cloudsI
Before the solid landJ
Before the fields before the floodsK
I dwelt at his right handJ
-
When he adorned the skiesL
And built them I was thereM
To order where the sun should riseL
And marshal every starN
-
When he poured out the seaO
And spread the flowing deepP
I gave the flood a firm decreeO
In its own bounds to keepP
-
Upon the empty airM
The earth was balanced wellQ
With joy I saw the mansion whereM
The sons of men should dwellQ
-
My busy thoughts at firstR
On their salvation ranS
Ere sin was born or Adam's dustT
Was fashioned to a manS
-
Then come receive my graceU
Ye children and be wiseL
Happy the man that keeps my waysV
The man that shuns them diesL
