The Virgin Mary's songA
-
Luke ffB
-
Our souls shall magnify the LordC
In God the Savior we rejoiceD
While we repeat the Virgin's songA
May the same Spirit tune our voiceD
-
The Highest saw her low estateE
And mighty things his hand hath doneF
His overshadowing power and graceG
Makes her the mother of his SonF
-
Let ev'ry nation call her blestH
And endless years prolong her fameI
But God alone must be ador'dC
Holy and reverend is his nameI
-
To those that fear and trust the LordC
His mercy stands for ever sureJ
From age to age his promise livesK
And the performance is secureJ
-
He spake to Abram and his seedL
In thee shall all the earth be blessedH
The memory of that ancient wordM
Lay long in his eternal breastH
-
But now no more shall Isr'el waitE
No more the Gentiles lie forlornN
Lo the desire of nations comesO
Behold the promised seed is bornN
