Hymn 43 Part 2 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A B CDEF GHIJ KKLM NNOO PPQQ

The Christian's treasureA
-
CorB
-
How vast the treasure we possessC
How rich thy bounty King of graceD
This world is ours and worlds to comeE
Earth is our lodge and heav'n our homeF
-
All things are ours the gifts of GodG
The purchase of a Savior's bloodH
While the good Spirit shows us howI
To use and to improve them tooJ
-
If peace and plenty crown my daysK
They help me Lord to speak thy praiseK
If bread of sorrows be my foodL
Those sorrows work my lasting goodM
-
I would not change my blest estateN
For all the world calls good or greatN
And while my faith can keep her holdO
I envy not the sinner's goldO
-
Father I wait thy daily willP
Thou shalt divide my portion stillP
Grant me on earth what seems thee bestQ
Till death and heav'n reveal the restQ
