Jesus our surety and SaviorA
-
Pet Gal RomB
-
Adam our father and our headC
Transgressed and justice doomed us deadC
The fiery law speaks all despairD
There's no reprieve nor pardon thereD
-
But O unutterable graceE
The Son of God takes Adam's placeE
Down to our world the Savior fliesF
Stretches his arms and bleeds and diesF
-
Justice was pleased to bruise the GodG
And pay its wrongs with heav'nly bloodH
What unknown racks and pangs he boreI
Then rose the law could ask no moreI
-
Amazing work look down ye skiesF
Wonder and gaze with all your eyesF
Ye heav'nly thrones stoop from aboveJ
And bow to this mysterious loveJ
-
Lo they adore th' incarnate SonK
And sing the glories he hath wonK
Sing how he broke our iron chainsL
How deep he suiik how high he reignsL
-
Triumph and reign victorious LordM
By all the flaming hosts adoredM
And say dear Couqueror say how longN
Ere we shall rise to join their songN
-
Send down a chariot from aboveJ
With fiery wheels and paved with loveJ
Raise us beyond th' ethereal blueO
To sing and love as angels doO
