The same or The martyrs glorifiedA
-
Rev ffB
-
These glorious minds how bright they shineC
Whence all their white arrayD
How came they to the happy seatsE
Of everlasting dayD
-
From torturing pains to endless joysF
On fiery wheels they rodeG
And strangely washed their raiment whiteH
In Jesus' dying bloodI
-
Now they approach a spotless GodJ
And bow before his throneK
Their warbling harps and sacred songsL
Adore the Holy OneM
-
The unveiled glories of his faceN
Amongst his saints resideA
While the rich treasure of his graceN
Sees all their wants suppliedA
-
Tormenting thirst shall leave their soulsO
And hunger flee as fastP
The fruit of life's immortal treeQ
Shall be their sweet repastP
-
The Lamb shall lead his heav'nly flockR
Where living fountains riseS
And love divine shall wipe awayD
The sorrows of their eyesS
