Rhyme Scheme: A B CDEF GHIJ KLKL MNBN OLOP QRST

Absurdity of infidelityA
-
CorB
-
Shall atheists dare insult the crossC
Of our Redeemer GodD
Shall infidels reproach his lawsE
Or trample on his bloodF
-
What if he choose mysterious waysG
To cleanse us from our faultsH
May not the works of sovereign graceI
Transcend our feeble thoughtsJ
-
What if his gospel bids us fightK
With flesh and self and sinL
The prize is most divinely brightK
That we are called to winL
-
What if the foolish and the poorM
His glorious grace partakeN
This but confirms his truth the moreB
For so the prophets spakeN
-
Do some that own his sacred nameO
Indulge their souls in sinL
Jesus should never bear the blameO
His laws are pure and cleanP
-
Then let our faith grow firm and strongQ
Our lips profess his wordR
Nor blush nor fear to walk amongS
The men that love the LordT
