Rhyme Scheme: A B CDEF GHIH JKLM NOJA PQRQ KSKT

Assurance of heavenA
-
TimB
-
Death may dissolve my body nowC
And bear my spirit homeD
Why do my minutes move so slowE
Nor my salvation comeF
-
With heav'nly weapons I have foughtG
The battles of the LordH
Finished my course and kept the faithI
And wait the sure rewardH
-
God has laid up in heav'n for meJ
A crown which cannot fadeK
The righteous Judge at that great dayL
Shall place it on my headM
-
Nor hath the King of grace decreedN
This prize for me aloneO
But all that love and long to seeJ
Th' appearance of his SonA
-
Jesus the Lord shall guard me safeP
From every ill designQ
And to his heav'nly kingdom keepR
This feeble soul of mineQ
-
God is my everlasting aidK
And hell shall rage in vainS
To him be highest glory paidK
And endless praise AmenT
