A vision of the LambA
-
RevB
-
All mortal vanities begoneC
Nor tempt my eyes nor tire my earsD
Behold amidst th' eternal throneC
A vision of the Lamb appearsD
-
Glory his fleecy robe adornsE
Marked with the bloody death he boreF
Seven are his eyes and seven his hornsE
To speak his wisdom and his powerG
-
Lo he receives a sealed bookH
From him that sits upon the throneC
Jesus my Lord prevails to lookH
On dark decrees and things unknownC
-
All the assembling saints aroundI
Fall worshipping before the LambA
And in new songs of gospel soundI
Address their honors to his nameJ
-
The Joy the shout the harmonyC
Flies o'er the everlasting hillsK
Worthy art thou alone they cryL
To read the book to loose the sealsM
-
Our voices join the heav'nly strainC
And with transporting pleasure singN
Worthy the Lamb that once was slainC
To be our Teacher and our KingN
-
His words of prophecy revealO
Eternal counsels deep designsP
His grace and vengeance shall fulfilO
The peaceful and the dreadful linesP
-
Thou hast redeemed our souls from hellO
With thine invaluable bloodQ
And wretches that did once rebelO
Are now made fav'rites of their GodR
-
Worthy for ever is the LordS
That died for treasons not his ownC
By every tongue to be adoredS
And dwell upon his Father's throneC
