Rhyme Scheme: A B CDCD EFGH IAIA

Blessed are the dead that die in the LordA
-
RevB
-
Hear what the voice from heav'n proclaimsC
For all the pious deadD
Sweet is the savor of their namesC
And soft their sleeping bedD
-
They die in Jesus and are blestE
How kind their slumbers areF
From suff'rings and from sins releasedG
And freed from every snareH
-
Far from this world of toil and strifeI
They're present with the LordA
The labors of their mortal lifeI
End in a large rewardA
