Rhyme Scheme: A BCDD EFAA AAFF GGHI

The Divine PerfectionsA
-
Jehovah reigns his throne is highB
His robes are light and majestyC
His glory shines with beams so brightD
No mortal can sustain the sightD
-
His terrors keep the world in aweE
His justice guards his holy lawF
His love reveals a smiling faceA
His truth and promise seal the graceA
-
Through all his works his wisdom shinesA
And baffles Satan's deep designsA
His power is sovereign to fulfilF
The noblest counsels of his willF
-
And will this glorious Lord descendG
To be my Father and my FriendG
Then let my songs with angels joinH
Heav'n is secure if God be mineI
