Hymn 110 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A B CDCD EFEF GHGH IJKL GAMA

Death and immediate gloryA
-
CorB
-
There is a house not made with handsC
Eternal and on highD
And here my spirit waiting standsC
Till God shall bid it flyD
-
Shortly this prison of my clayE
Must be dissolved and fallF
Then O my soul with joy obeyE
Thy heav'nly Father's callF
-
'Tis he by his almighty graceG
That forms thee fit for heav'nH
And as an earnest of the placeG
Has his own Spirit giv'nH
-
We walk by faith of joys to comeI
Faith lives upon his wordJ
But while the body is our homeK
We're absent from the LordL
-
'Tis pleasant to believe thy graceG
But we had rather seeA
We would be absent from the fleshM
And present Lord with theeA
