Against Evil Company Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDEF GHGH IJIJ

Why should I join with those in PlayA
In whom I've no delightB
Who curse and swear but never prayA
Who call ill Names and fightB
-
I hate to hear a wanton SongC
Their Words offend my EarsD
I should not dare defile my TongueE
With Language such as theirsF
-
Away from Fools I'll turn my EyesG
Nor with the Scoffers goH
I would be walking with the WiseG
That wiser I may growH
-
From one rude Boy that's us'd to mockI
Ten learn the wicked JestJ
One sickly Sheep infects the FlockI
And poysons all the restJ
