Sos: Mariupol Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGH IJKL LMNDD

I heard you have been starvedA
I'm told you are too weak to cryB
Your face too dry to smileC
Your feet too feeble to fleeD
-
I saw your home bombardedE
Thick smokes eclipse your blue skiesF
I'm sure your sun is unwilling to shineG
Even your moon ashamed to glitterH
-
You took a cue from BabylonI
And Kalmius now chorus her sad talesJ
Wailing to Azov's feetK
Not a single grain found on her fertile soilL
-
O my sweet MariupolL
Hold on one more day if you canM
I'm coming dressed in legionsN
Succour and doves are with meD
To set you free from captivityD
