Orison On My Birthday Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABA CDEF GDHDD IJKLM DNOPJ

Myth holds that heaven lives in the skiesA
melting in the windB
my prayer runs and fliesA
-
emits from stakeC
wishes out of busy bodyD
wriggle in circlesE
snaking up misty cliffF
-
my thoughts climb mingling with starsG
a region corona freeD
and world's noisome pestilenceH
go wild and freeD
in the milky paths of galaxyD
-
there I plant my faithI
bring life to wishesJ
to august moonK
as summer endsL
and august breaksM
-
in screens thereof I pray to seeD
faces of hopesN
glimpses of better tomorrowO
wishes become horsesP
charioting down with rosesJ
