THOR draws a chord invisible	A
Across the shaking sky	B
I hear the tearing of the shell	C
The bullets sing and cry	B
As charging through the flames of hell	C
The batteries go by	B

That man to man has given	E
Like Titans now the guns unmask	D
And fire the veils of heaven	E
Above the cloud what lights are gleaming	F
God's batteries are those	G
Or souls of soldiers homeward streaming	F
To banquet with their foes	G
The floods of battle ebb and flow	H
The soldiers to Valhalla go	H

They say that when the day awoke	I
And the dying night was wan	J
Harry of England rode the smoke	I
And led the English van	K
And bowmen in the battle glare	L
Rose from the ghostly dew	M
The clothyard sang upon the air	L
And the grey goose feather flew	M

His archers mind not trench or stake	N

God grant the bonds be loosed by Thor	Q
That bind that marble mouth	P
