On A Troopship - 1915 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFGFHIHIJKLK

FAREWELL the village leaning to the hillA
And all the cawing rooks that homeward flyB
The bees the drowsy anthem of the millA
The willows winding under April skyB
We watch the breakers crashing on the bowC
And those far flashes in the Eastern hazeD
The fields and friends that were are fainter nowC
Than whispering of ancient waterwaysD
Now England stirs as stirs a dreamer woundE
In immemorial slumber lids apartF
Soon will she rouse her giant limbs attunedG
To that old music hidden at her heartF
The small occasions and the menial criesH
Fade fast away the little men bewareI
She rises in her circuit of the skiesH
An eagle drinking of the mountain airI
We come to harbour in the breath of warsJ
Welcome again the land of our farewellsK
In this strange ruin open to the starsL
We find the haven where her spirit dwellsK
