Rhyme Scheme: ABACD EFGHH IJKLM NOPQR STUVW

Once more Look a spent old scarecrowA
shrivelled faceB
straw dry shadowA
swaying like a leafC
bending and swaying over booksD
-
Once more Look a spent old croneE
weaving and weavingF
knitted stockingsG
mouth full of cursesH
lips forever mumbling cursesH
-
There s the household catI
has not moved since I leftJ
still dreaming by the stoveK
playing cat and mouseL
in his dreamM
-
And as ever in darknessN
the spider weavesO
hanging its webP
full of swollen fly corpsesQ
in the dark west cornerR
-
You ve not changedS
All old as the hillsT
Nothing newU
I ll join you old croniesV
Together we ll rot till we stinkW
