Alone Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EDFC GHIJ DKLM NOCE PQDR

Wind blew light drew them allA
New songs revive their morningsB
Only I small bird am forsakenC
under the Shekhina s wingD
-
Alone I remain aloneE
The Shekhina s broken wingD
trembled over my head My heart knew hersF
her fear for her only sonC
-
Driven from every ridgeG
one desolate corner leftH
in the House of Study she hides in shadowI
and I alone share her painJ
-
Imprisoned beneath her wingD
my heart longed for the lightK
She buried her face on my shoulderL
and a tear fell on my pageM
-
Dumbly she clung and weptN
Her broken wing sheltered meO
scattered to the four winds of heavenC
they are gone and I am aloneE
-
It was an ancient lamentP
a suppliant cry I heardQ
in that lost and silent weepingD
and in that scalding tearR
