Unwritten, Not Forgotten Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAABCDEFGHIIJK

Stop reading it doesn t invalidate the storyA
Stop writing it still won t delete your biographyA
Burn the storybook it doesn t cancel historyA
Erase the names but memory still holds themB
Silence the drums the rhythm beats in our bonesC
Bury the language the earth still speaks it in dreamsD
Mock the old ways but they whisper in your conscienceE
Tear down the shrine but the spirit walks unshakenF
Break the pot the scent of soup still lingers in the airG
Change the costume but the skin remembers the danceH
Ignore the proverb life still proves it trueI
Laugh at the elders but time will age you tooI
Forget the village but the path leads you homeJ
Ban the stories yet truth hides in riddles still toldK
