Turn The Tide Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHIH JKBK LMNMOP QPRSTS

Once I was the spark of discordA
A child whose missteps lit the flameB
Neighbors' quarrels parents' strifeC
Each time my name bore silent blameB
But in the stillness of my heartD
I found a whisper soft yet clearE
Be the reason they find peaceF
Turn the tide dissolve the fearE
-
No longer would I be the causeG
No longer would I fan the fireH
I vowed to tread a gentler pathI
To lift my home a little higherH
-
And so the days began to changeJ
With every step a silent pleaK
Let my deeds bring pride not shameB
Let love grow strong because of meK
-
The echoes shifted joy replacedL
The quarrels now a distant soundM
My parents' names on others' lipsN
In tones of praise respect profoundM
I learned the power we possessO
To turn our stories round againP
-
The key lies in our hearts and mindsQ
Our actions wield the strongest penP
So hear me now all those who doubtR
The path is yours to carve anewS
The storms within can calm their roarT
And skies can break in clearer blueS
