The Weight Of Love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFF GGHI JJKK LLMN

I gave you all I had though smallA
Wrote your words when mine would fallA
I loved you deep as oceans holdB
But you turned away seeking goldB
-
Your laughter once a shelter warmC
Now echoes in the silent stormC
Rent unpaid fees unmetD
Your love became a debt a threatD
-
Another came another chanceE
I shared my crumbs a fleeting danceE
But love it seemed was not enoughF
Without wealth the road was roughF
-
They say love conquers all but noG
Not when pockets are hollow slowG
You left me too with just one thoughtH
That only riches can be boughtI
-
So now I guard my heart with steelJ
For love I fear is not quite realJ
A currency I cannot tradeK
In this world where wealth is madeK
-
But in the quiet I still askL
Is love beyond this heavy maskL
Could it be more than what we ownM
A place a hand a heart a homeN
