| The dead are a whisper beneath polished wood | E |
| Yet the price of the burial oh that was good | E |

| We praise the containers the glittering show | F |
| But the heart that beats within We hardly know | F |
| The mind that could spark a world newly born | G |
| Is cast to the shadows ignored and forlorn | G |

| It s profit that matters not wisdom or grace | H |
| The shape of the surface the mask on the face | H |
| We feed the body we starve the soul | I |
| The spirit of man plays a secondary role | I |

| For intellect is free but a meal has a cost | J |
| And in this culture of wealth the true self is lost | K |
| We worship the shine the glamour the gloss | L |
| But it s the content not the container | M |
| That pays the greatest loss | L |
