Silver Thread Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCC DDEE FFGG HHII JJKK LLMM EENN OONN

A silver thread so light so thinA
Woven through hearts where trust beginsB
A coin a promise a bond declaredC
Yet fragile as breath it must be caredC
-
Two friends once bound by laughter's glowD
Shared dreams where only truth could growD
But whispers came with a golden gleamE
And cracked the mirror of their teamE
-
For one had sought the gleaming prizeF
A fleeting spark a serpent's guiseF
The silver thread began to frayG
As greed devoured the trust awayG
-
Then love appeared its voice so sweetH
Two hearts entwined in passion's heatH
But secrets hid in wealth's embraceI
And loyalty wore a masked faceI
-
A deal was struck unseen unheardJ
A promise sold for a spoken wordJ
The silver thread unraveled fastK
The bond of love could never lastK
-
Yet money is a fickle kingL
A fleeting joy a hollow thingL
It binds some tight with ties of steelM
But shatters hearts it cannot healM
-
For trust is not in coins that gleamE
Nor loyalty in a golden dreamE
True wealth resides in what won t fadeN
A vow unbroken a hand that stayedN
-
So guard the silver thread with careO
Let love and trust grow pure and rareO
For riches earned through hearts betrayedN
Will crumble into dust decayedN
