Even if I know nothing, I should know me
I should learn something
from those who know nothing.
That I should know my chains
and rule my pains.
I should know that desire makes slaves
out of kings
while patience makes kings
out of slaves.
I should know that people can leave you
out in the cold
and get mad at you
when you learn
how to get warm yourself.
That a man sees in the world
what he carries in his heart.
