If We Could Use It Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAA BCBB DEFF GGHH IJKK

This morning I met the sun soft and friendlyA
Accept it embrace it 'cause it's necessaryA
Later curious turns a little hot amidst furyA
Remember the moon a little fake but sings songs of harmonyA
-
We claim to know the whispers of the breezeB
Yet storms arise shattering our peaceC
Lessons linger in the echoes of treesB
But do we hear or just believe with easeB
-
We see the river calm on the surfaceD
Forgetting its depths hold stories so earnestE
Mountains stand old and wise yet sternF
Yet we only climb not caring to learnF
-
Experience a lantern dim yet brightG
Revealing paths both wrong and rightG
But the future a shadow we chase in vainH
Promising sunshine yet bringing rainH
-
If we could use it the things we knowI
The sights we see the seeds we sowJ
Perhaps tomorrow would be less blindK
And wisdom wouldn t lag behindK
