Cracked Mirrors Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH JKLK MNON PQRQ STUV

We re all just cracked mirrorsA
Pretending our reflections are wholeB
Throwing stones from glass templesC
Blind to the shatter in our own soulB
-
We shame the fire in others heartsD
While choking on smoke we hide withinE
Deal in drugs and damn the drunkF
Condemn the flesh but nurse our sinE
-
We gossip sharp with serpent tonguesG
Then cry when we are torn apartH
We preach of peace denounce the hateI
Yet tribal lines divide our heartH
-
We scorn the racist yet embraceJ
The tribal pride that fuels our warK
We dress our guilt in silken wordsL
And call it virtue we adoreK
-
What gall what gloss what bold deceitM
To crown ourselves as saints of dustN
Who are we but fading breathO
Still drunk on power pride and lustN
-
We bleed the same corrupted redP
Yet some parade it some concealQ
A theater masked in moral robesR
Where sin in costume seems idealQ
-
What a trickS
What a taleT
What a performance we composeU
A goddamn lie in noble clothesV
