Black Flag Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDB EEFFBBGG HHIIJJBB

Beneath a bruised and brooding skyA
a black flag flutters silent highA
Not of conquest nor of dreadB
but the untold tales of those who bledB
It waves for whispers lost in stormsC
for fractured oaths forgotten normsC
A shadow s dance on battlefieldsD
a truth unsaid a wound unhealedB
-
Once it bore the sun's embraceE
but ashes smudged its vibrant faceE
Now inked in sorrow stitched with rageF
it turns the wind a living pageF
Not all banners march with prideB
some are worn where secrets hideB
In every fold a thousand criesG
the weight of stars the cost of liesG
-
Yet even darkness deep and starkH
can spark rebellion in the darkH
The black flag calls to those who seeI
not what was lost but what could beI
So raise it high let shadows loomJ
a beacon in the quiet gloomJ
For though its color speaks of nightB
the black flag fights for dawn s first lightB
