For Seasonable Weather Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABAAAA CDCCEEEE ACACABAB FGHGAIAI

Lord should the sunne the clowds the windeA
The ayre and seasons beB
To vs so froward unkindA
As we are false to theeB
All fruites would quite away be burn'dA
Or lye in water drown'dA
Or blasted be or ouerturn'dA
Or chilled on the groundA
-
But from our duty though we swarueC
Thou still dost mercy shewD
And daign thy creatures to preserueC
That men might thankfull growC
Yet though from day to day we sinneE
And thy displeasure gaineE
No sooner we to cry beginneE
But pitty we obtaineE
-
The weather now thou changed hastA
That put vs late to feareC
And when our hopes were almost pastA
Then comfort did appeareC
The heauen the earth's complaints hath heardA
They reconciled beB
And thou such weather hast prepar'dA
As we desired of theeB
-
For which with lifted hands and eyesF
To thee we doe repayG
The due and willing sacrificeH
Of giving thanks to dayG
Because such offrings we should notA
To render thee be sloweI
Nor let thy mercie be forgotA
Which thou art pleased to showeI
