Woodman And Echo Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDBBCEFDGHIHJIAB ABKLAMNAOPA QRBSTBUVB

Close Echo hears the woodman's axeA
To double on it as in gleeB
With clap of hands and little lacksA
Of meaning in her reparteeB
For all shall fallC
As one has doneD
The tree of meB
Of thee the treeB
And unto allC
The fate we waitE
Reveals the wheelsF
Whereon we runD
We tower to flowerG
We spread the shadeH
We drop for cropI
At length are laidH
Are rolled in mouldJ
From chop and lopI
And are we thick in woodland tracksA
Or tempting of our stature weB
The end is one we do but waxA
For service over land and seaB
So strike the likeK
Shall thus of usL
My brawny woodman claim the taxA
Nor foe thy blowM
Though wood be goodN
And shriekingly the timber cracksA
The ground we crownedO
Shall speed the seedP
Of younger into swelling sacksA
-
For use he hewsQ
To make awakeR
The spirit of what stuff we beB
Our earth of mirthS
And tears he clearsT
For braver let our minds agreeB
And then will menU
Within them winV
An Echo clapping harmonyB
