Song (untitled #8) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEG

No no the falling blossom is no signA
Of loveliness destroy'd and sorrow muteB
The blossom sheds its loveliness divineA
Its mission is to prophecy the fruitB
-
Nor is the day of love for ever deadC
When young enchantment and romance are goneD
The veil is drawn but all the future dreadC
Is lightened by the finger of the dawnD
-
Love moves with life along a darker wayE
They cast a shadow and they call it deathF
But rich is the fulfilment of their dayE
The purer passion and the firmer faithG
