Modern Love Xl: I Bade My Lady Think Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBBCBBCDEEDECCE

I bade my Lady think what she might meanA
Know I my meaning I Can I love oneB
And yet be jealous of another NoneB
Commits such folly Terrible Love I weenB
Has might even dead half sighing to upheaveC
The lightless seas of selfishness amainB
Seas that in a man's heart have no rainB
To fall and still them Peace can I achieveC
By turning to this fountain source of woeD
This woman who's to Love as fire to woodE
She breathed the violet breath of maidenhoodE
Against my kisses once but I say NoD
The thing is mocked at Helplessly afloatE
I know not what I do whereto I striveC
The dread that my old love may be aliveC
Has seized my nursling new love by the throatE
