Modern Love V: A Message From Her Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDDCCEECFCCF

A message from her set his brain aflameA
A world of household matters filled her mindB
Wherein he saw hypocrisy designedB
She treated him as something that is tameA
And but at other provocation bitesC
Familiar was her shoulder in the glassD
Through that dark rain yet it may come to passD
That a changed eye finds such familiar sightsC
More keenly tempting than new lovelinessC
The 'What has been' a moment seemed his ownE
The splendours mysteries dearer because knownE
Nor less divine Love's inmost sacrednessC
Called to him 'Come ' In his restraining startF
Eyes nurtured to be looked at scarce could seeC
A wave of the great waves of DestinyC
Convulsed at a checked impulse of the heartF
