Though the cuckoo in his throat | F |
Leaves to the dove his last twin note | F |
Come to me with thy lustrous eye | A |
Golden dawning oriently | B |
Come with all thy shining blooms | G |
Thy rich red rose and rolling glooms | G |
Though the cuckoo doth but sing 'cuk cuk ' | H |

Sweet July warm July | B |
Month when mosses near the stream | J |
Soft green mosses thick and shy | B |
Are a rapture and a dream | J |
Summer Queen whose foot the fern | K |
Fades beneath while chestnuts burn | K |
I welcome thee with thy fierce love | L |
Gloom below and gleam above | L |
Though all the forest trees hang dumb | M |
With dense leafiness o'ercome | M |
Though the nightingale and thrush | N |
Pipe not from the bough or bush | O |
Come to me with thy lustrous eye | B |
Azure melting westerly | B |
The raptures of thy face unfold | P |
And welcome in thy robes of gold | P |
Tho' the nightingale broods 'sweet chuck sweet' | P |
And the ouzel flutes so chill | B |
Tho' the throstle gives but one shrilly trill | B |
To the nightingale's 'sweet sweet ' | - |
