Internal Harmony Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDECED| Assured of worthiness we do not dread | A |
| Competitors we rather give them hail | B |
| And greeting in the lists where we may fail | B |
| Must if we bear an aim beyond the head | A |
| My betters are my masters purely fed | A |
| By their sustainment I likewise shall scale | B |
| Some rocky steps between the mount and vale | B |
| Meanwhile the mark I have and I will wed | A |
| So that I draw the breath of finer air | C |
| Station is nought nor footways laurel strewn | D |
| Nor rivals tightly belted for the race | E |
| Good speed to them My place is here or there | C |
| My pride is that among them I have place | E |
| And thus I keep this instrument in tune | D |
