Earth's Secret Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDECDE

Not solitarily in fields we findA
Earth's secret open though one page is thereB
Her plainest such as children spell and shareB
With bird and beast raised letters for the blindA
Not where the troubled passions toss the mindA
In turbid cities can the key be bareB
It hangs for those who hither thither fareB
Close interthreading nature with our kindA
They hearing History speak of what men wereC
And have become are wise The gain is greatD
In vision and solidity it livesE
Yet at a thought of life apart from herC
Solidity and vision lose their stateD
For Earth that gives the milk the spirit givesE
