Appreciation Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACADCAD

Earth was not Earth before her sons appearedA
Nor Beauty Beauty ere young Love was bornB
And thou when I lay hidden wast as mornB
At city windows touching eyelids blearedA
To none by her fresh wingedness endearedA
Unwelcome unto revellers outwornB
I the last echoes of Diana's hornB
In woodland heard and saw thee come and cheeredA
No longer wast thou then mere light fair soulC
And more than simple duty moved thy feetA
New colours rose in thee from fear from shameD
From hope effused though not less pure a scrollC
May men read on the heart I taught to beatA
That change in thee if not thyself I claimD
